In this film, the birthmark can be approached in many different ways.

Through beautystandards, memories, skincells, identity, evidence, myths, culture, grief, science, karma, chance, answers and so on.

But what about the birthmark as a shape?

Nothing more than a deformed circular stain. How can I take the shape off of the skin and those different identities and back to it's primal purpose of simply being something that can be seen.

And how dependent am I on this shape to find an answer to my question. Not what but who? And to a certain extend, how?

How can you lead me to an answer?
